Aparna Joshi Khandwala – #PowerInYou
Since the beginning of her career in 1998, Aparna has evolved from being in a strategic HR (Human Resources) role to now a management consultant. Her management advisory firm – Yellow Spark is just an extension of her skills.

She brings a perfect blend of cross-industry experience and expertise in the area of human resource planning to achieve business success.

Regardless of whether it’s her business or personal life, she prefers to be associated with making a difference in someone’s life. While Aparna enjoys serving as an HR advisor through Centre for Advancement of Philanthropy, she also delivers HR specific training for non-profits through iVolunteer’s GYAN sessions and indulge in other volunteering activities.

Although I work across the corporate and nonprofit sector, nothing can replace the immense sense of satisfaction that a nonprofit role provides and causes that nonprofits directly impact brings me back to the sector.

It may sound strange, but I have handled a broader role with higher responsibilities with a good work-life balance in the social sector. This is unheard of in the corporate sector.

I would encourage people of both genders to come forward and experience the social sector. The advice that I would give would be – A typical social sector job will help to bring out the best of your skills in a short time and provide for emotional salary beyond measure. You are not ready for the sector, if you perceive work to be easier, comfortable or highly flexible and if money is a big motivator.

A tiny spark lights a fire that lies deep inside you and then suddenly everything is possible! Thats #PowerInYou

We have much to do, much to be and much to achieve. Are you ready to bring out the #PowerInYou on this IWD 2017 and beyond?
