Editorial Policy

About this blog

The iVolunteer Blog is a space for volunteers, Fellows, NGO partners, and members of the iVolunteer community to share first-hand experiences, reflections, and stories from the field. Our aim is to amplify diverse voices from within India's volunteering and social development ecosystem — not to present a single official viewpoint.

Views expressed

Views, opinions, and interpretations expressed in individual blog posts are those of the respective authors and contributors alone. They do not necessarily reflect the views, policies, or official position of iVolunteer, MITRA Technology Foundation, or its partners, sponsors, and affiliated programs. Publication of a post does not imply endorsement of its content by iVolunteer.

Content ownership and editing

Copyright in each post remains with its author unless otherwise agreed in writing. By submitting a post, contributors grant iVolunteer a non-exclusive right to publish, edit for length, clarity, or house style, and share the piece across iVolunteer's own channels (website, social media, newsletters). Contributors are welcome to republish their own work elsewhere with attribution to the original iVolunteer Blog post.

Care with people and places

Many posts describe real people, families, and communities encountered through volunteering and fellowship work. Contributors are asked to use discretion and, where relevant, obtain consent before naming or describing identifiable individuals — particularly children and other vulnerable groups. This blog operates within the spirit of iVolunteer's Child Protection Policy, and posts are reviewed with this in mind before publishing.

Accuracy

Posts reflect the author's personal account and understanding at the time of writing. iVolunteer does not independently verify every factual claim, name, or figure mentioned in contributor posts, and is not responsible for inaccuracies in third-party accounts.

Corrections and concerns

If you are named or referenced in a post and have concerns about how you've been represented, or if you spot an error, please write to us at info@iVolunteer.in and we will review the request promptly.

General terms

This Editorial Policy sits alongside, and does not replace, iVolunteer's general Terms of Use, which continue to govern use of this site.
